Make Your Hollywood Visit Universal

Let’s start with Universal Studios Hollywood!
While there is only one park here, there is so much to see and do that you can easily spend at least 2 days (3 if you are traveling during a busier time of year). Universal Studios Hollywood is built into the Hollywood hills and located on part of a live studio lot. The upper level features areas like Minions, Harry Potter, the Simpsons and old Hollywood glam while the lower level includes Jurassic World, Transformers and Super Nintendo World. One of the coolest details at this park is the Studio Lot tour where you will actually tour the Universal studios lot which can include old props and even live sets! And there is a brand new coaster opening this summer- the Fast and Furious Coaster will reach speeds over 70 miles per hour.
If you really want to experience everything at Universal Studios Hollywood, going for at least 2 days will help you avoid having to skip any of the fun- and you might even have a chance to repeat a couple of your favorite rides or experiences.
VIP Tours & Express Pass
A VIP tour or Express pass can be the perfect option for at least one of the days and these are extra valuable if you are visiting on a weekend or a school break.
Express pass at Universal Hollywood allows you to use the Express lane and skip the standard line queue once per attraction PLUS it includes your park admission! If your goal is all about the rides, this is a great way to hit almost every ride (or maybe every ride) in one day.
The VIP tour at Universal Studios Hollywood is the best way to experience the park for guests 5 and older. The VIP tour includes your park admission plus UNLIMITED Express pass for the entire day (including before and after your tour). You will also receive complimentary valet parking (please just tip the parking attendant) but best of all, you get access to the VIP lounge with a light breakfast before your tour begins and a delicious lunch buffet during your tour. You will be in a group with up to 14 guests total with your guide to take you around the park. Their goal is to help you have the best experience while hitting the main attractions in the park. And best of all, your guide group gets a private and more specialized studio lot tour where you can actually get off your bus and see special areas like walking around sets or entering certain studios!
Make it Convenient With a Nearby Hotel Stay
To make the most of your time at Universal Studios Hollywood, there are multiple hotels in the area for your stay including 2 just steps from the park and Universal City Walk- the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City and the Sheraton Universal hotel. Other hotels like the Garland also feature a complimentary trolley to and from the park.

One of my favorites is the Warner Brothers Studio Tour! The Warner Brothers lot is right next door so it’s a quick ride share hop over. This tour will have different features than the studio tour at Universal Hollywood and both are great options for travelers who love movies, history or just enjoy fun details.
